Meet Tori Green From Band 212GREEN

Meet Tori Green, a singer from band 212GREEN!  We recently had a chat with Tori and she had some really touching things to say.

Who is 212GREEN?

212 Green is a unique musical ensemble comprised of three siblings born and raised in Manhattan, NYC. We grew up surrounded by all types of music, so it was no shock to our friends and family when we immersed ourselves in classical piano, guitar, dance and vocal lessons at an early age. We are a product of two environments; our early childhood spent in the East Village and everything after that in West Harlem. Growing up with the entire island of Manhattan as our backyard has allowed us to see everything from the inner-city streets all the way to the multimillion dollar skyscrapers. Creating our band, 212GREEN was a natural progression for us with our love of music and wanting to write, sing and perform it!"

What impact do you want to make on young women by expressing your creativity through your passion for music?

I want young women to know that whoever or whatever you, are you are beautiful. Only do things that make you happy. Music has given me an outlet to express emotions that I would otherwise bottle up. If you are lucky enough to find your passion follow it.

What does music mean to you?

To me music means happiness. It's the soundtrack of our lives.

Being in a band with your siblings, what does family mean to you?

Family is everything to me, my family keeps me grounded and feeling who.

Where does your inspiration come from?

My inspiration comes from my personal growth and journey to the happiest version of myself.

What advice can you give to your 16-year-old self?

I would tell my 16-year-old self that boys suck and to focus more on self-growth than the growth of a relationship that will end up temporary.

What do you look for in the perfect jeans?

I look for a pair of jeans that make me feel good about myself and can be worn to dress up or dress down.
